Student Life

A World of New Opportunities

Our goal is to create an atmosphere that is relational, student-friendly, well-paced, and enriching-a place where students can prosper. High school is a time of great change and, quite often, pressure. A good high school helps students as they leave childhood behind and move toward college and adulthood. It provides an environment that is positive, full of opportunities, spiritually rich, and fun.

Co-Curricular Activities

Trinity will offer a wide range of activities and clubs. Initially we foresee a student council and “basic” clubs such as drama and yearbook. We also anticipate competitive clubs such as a debate team and quiz bowl, which will provide opportunities for interscholastic competitions in areas other than athletics. Undoubtedly, clubs will form as students and faculty come together with common interests and ideas. These clubs and activities will provide many opportunities for leadership and relationships.

Spiritual Life

A spiritual life committee comprised of students and faculty members will plan and execute weekly chapels, student-led worship times, and other activities. Optional activities will include participation in small group Bible studies, worship band, and student groups like FCA and Young Life.

Honor Council

In order to foster an atmosphere of trust, to promote respect for each student’s work and property, and to encourage high standards of self respect, Trinity High School will live by the Honor Code which has been part of the school since its early days. An honor council comprised of students and faculty will promote and oversee implementation of the honor code.

Shaped by, and for, Students

Student life at Trinity will be shaped with students in mind, with their involvement. So many intangibles are important to student life. We want to provide a campus conducive to relationships, with plenty of places to sit, talk, throw a Frisbee, or form a study group. We want open areas with couches, outside picnic areas, and portions of the campus designated just for high schoolers.

The 9th-12th grade students will be treated differently than the younger students, earning more privileges and freedom while accepting more responsibility. These students will be able to help shape their high school experience in real and positive ways.
