"A careful and thorough admission process helps us enroll students who can be successful
in our program and who will make a positive contribution to our school."
Dear Prospective Parents,
As a Christian school that welcomes families and students regardless of their religious faith, Trinity seeks families who are excited about our mission and who enjoy learning. We believe the best gains in education are made when school and home share a common educational philosophy and cooperate both in goals and in methods. This is why we attempt to give prospective parents a full understanding of who we are, what we believe, and what we do.
Since each student comes to school as a whole person, our process is designed to give us insight into his/her intellectual, social, emotional, and physical dimensions. The primary questions we ask for our younger students are: Is this student ready for school? For which grade is this student ready? For our older students we ask: Can Trinity serve this student well? Will this student be successful here?
In order to make wise admission decisions, we attempt to balance the needs of the student, the needs of the entire school and class, and the concerns which you have as a parent. Thus we seek several types of input: parental insights and desires, teachers’ references, our own observations, age-appropriate assessments, and student feedback. Our youngest students are given developmental and behavioral assessments; for older students, we measure aptitude and achievement. An Admission committee, led by the Admission Director, makes recommendations to the Headmaster on each applicant.
You may download the necessary forms to apply to Trinity School. Please refer to the Application Procedures for an overview of the admission process and the Admission Schedule for open house dates, and application and enrollment deadlines. Please contact us if you have any questions or require additional information.
Sincerely,
Lorna Spence
