Application Procedure - Grades 1-5

Return to Application Procedure

Grades one through five begin school at 8:30 am and are dismissed at 2:30 pm. There are currently two sections of each grade. Students remain in their classroom with a primary teacher throughout the day. Instruction in art, physical education, music, and foreign language is carried out by separate faculty. In most cases students will leave their classroom for this instruction. Students in grades one through three take Spanish as their foreign language. Latin instruction begins in grade four.

Students entering Trinity School in the fifth grade are asked to read a portion of "A Child’s History of the World". This reading will give students an overview of history that has been taught at Trinity up to this point. A copy of this text can be purchased from Calvert School. Their website is www.calvertschool.org, and their phone number is (888) 487-4652. There are also copies available in the school office that can be checked out over the summer. Students entering the fifth grade are asked to read chapters 1-9.
