Trinity School has always had a heart for keeping the admission door open for all families. In 2001, a wise donor contributed the first gift that would begin Trinity’s Financial Aid Endowment Fund. This fund grew slowly until December 2006, when Trinity was the recipient of a generous challenge: a foundation donor would commit $500,000 for a 1-to-1 match to establish a $1 million endowment. The excitement of this challenge grew as another donor contributed $250,000 to the challenge, making it $750,000 and offering a 3-to-1 match for the remaining $250,000 to be raised. The Trinity community, wholeheartedly behind the need for this endowment, met the goal six months ahead of schedule, completing the challenge in December of 2007.

The principal investment of the Endowment will not be spent, but will grow with the interest income supporting need-based scholarships. These awards will be given out annually beginning in 2011-2012. The Endowment Fund is governed by a subcommittee of the Trinity Board of Trustees and is managed by Ronald Blue & Co. of Charlotte, NC. This $1 million Endowment Fund is not closed, and gifts to this fund are gladly accepted. View the Endowment Fund Brochure

“We just didn’t expect this to happen!”

The STAR (Sunshine Tuition Assistance and Relief) Fund was started by generous families who wanted to make emergency tuition funds available for families in need...
...when an unexpected family medical crisis or death threatens the ability of students to complete the school year
...when a family’s financial aid grant is used up
...when the weakest among us needs a hand
