Auction for the Arts 2012

Trinity School hosted this year’s Auction for the Arts on Friday, April 20, 2012, at American Tobacco Bay 7 in Durham. Proceeds of this event support Trinity's fine arts and performing arts programs.
We went a little upscale this year,
...definitely downtown,
...and ALL upcycled!
Our décor and student art was centered around the theme of “upcycling”—taking ordinary, everyday objects, even things that people typically throw away, and turning them into something beautiful! While “upcycling” may be a new catch phrase, the gospel reminds us that God has long been taking the normal and unimpressive for his very own: transforming, joyfully re-purposing, and making all things new.
Guests enjoyed delicious food in the delightfully decorated Bay 7 venue and browsed a wide variety of auction items available for bidding. The photo booth with vintage accessories was a special attraction, offering auction-goers the opportunity to bring home a smile-filled remembrance of the evening.
Our special thanks to Laura Spence and the 2012 Auction for the Arts Committee, who worked tirelessly to make this spectacular evening a reality. We would also like to thank our sponsors, whose support was crucial to the auction's success. Our thanks also go out to the many Trinity volunteers who decorated the venue and helped out the night of the event. We couldn't have done it without you!
