A Word from the Trinity Admission Office
Dear Prospective Parents,
Welcome! We are pleased that you are interested in learning about Trinity School. As a Christian school that welcomes families and students regardless of their religious faith, Trinity seeks families who are excited about our mission and who enjoy learning. We believe the best gains in education are made when school and home share a common educational philosophy and cooperate both in goals and in methods. This is why we attempt to give prospective parents a full understanding of who we are, what we believe, and what we do.
Since each student comes to school as a whole person, our process is designed to give us insight into his or her intellectual, social, emotional, and physical dimensions. The primary questions we ask for our younger students are: Will this student flourish here? Is this student ready for school? For which grade is this student ready? For our older students we ask: Will this student be successful here, taking advantage of all that Trinity has to offer? How will this student enrich our community?
In order to make wise admission decisions, we attempt to balance the needs of the student, the needs of the entire school and class, and the concerns that you have as a parent. Thus we seek several types of input: parental insights and desires, teachers’ references, our own observations, age-appropriate assessments, and student feedback. Our youngest students are given developmental and behavioral assessments; for older students, we measure aptitude and achievement.
Please enjoy exploring our website. It provides a wonderful window into Trinity School. We also encourage you to attend one of our Open Houses. The Open House schedule can be found in the Admission Events section. You may also request an Admission application packet and view book. Please refer to How to Apply for an overview of the admission process and the Admission Process webpage for application and enrollment deadlines. You can download applications for transitional kindergarten–grade 6 and for grades 7–12 from this website.
We look forward to working with your family. Please contact us if you have any questions. To request additional information, please email Syvil Dunlap, Admission Assistant, or call 919.402.8262 ext. 1504.
