Community Scholarships for Students of Color

From its start 22 years ago, Trinity has aspired to be a richly diverse school that welcomes all who value a high-quality education within a thoughtful, ecumenical framework of Christian faith and conviction. Today, we provide for our students a strong college-preparatory program with robust elective and co-curricular offerings, including visual art, music, drama, robotics, clubs, and athletics.

Our community of learners is growing, and we wish to do all we can to ensure that Trinity’s student body reflects the diversity of the greater Durham and Chapel Hill area. We are pleased to offer the Community Scholarships for Students of Color for applicants to grades 6–11 who have strong academic records, love to learn and to be fully involved in their school’s community, and demonstrate high levels of integrity, character, and leadership.

Each year, scholarship winners will receive up to $2,500 toward tuition. Scholarship awards are renewable each year until graduation, provided that the student remains in good academic and personal standing. In addition to this merit scholarship, Trinity offers flexible tuition for families with demonstrated need, and applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for this program, as this may supplement the scholarship award.

If you are interested in applying for this award, your school guidance counselor or principal should submit the Community Scholarship Nomination Form. Please feel free to contact the Trinity School admission office if you have any questions.
