Upper School Back to School



All new to Trinity Middle and Upper School families are cordially invited to a Welcome to Trinity reception at the home of Chip and Desirée Denton on Thursday, August 24 from 5:30–7:00 p.m.

(Please note: this event is for Upper School students and faculty only. There will be other food trucks available for Upper School parents on campus.)

Food Truck Rodeo and Info Fair
11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. | MS students and parents, US parents | Outside of the HUB
Food will be available for purchase from: Dang Good Dogs, SoomSoom Pita Pockets, and LocoPops. There will be an information fair on all things Trinity!

Info Fair participants: Athletics, School Nurse, Athletic Trainer, The Business Office, Trinity Clubs, TPO, Trinity Lions on Campus, Veracross and Parent Portals, Trinity Band, Trinity Music, School and College Counselors, The Trinity Fund, Head of School, Student Learning and Support Services, The Blue and Gold Auction, and Hot Lunch.


Class Trips
The Upper School launches the new year with our fall class trips. In almost all cases, advisors and their advisees participate on the same trip. The seniors leave for their trip on Tuesday, August 22 and all others depart on Wednesday, August 23. All four grades return by late afternoon Friday, August 25. Virgilla Gist, Assistant to the Director of the Upper School, will email parents on Friday, August 25 with information about each trip’s actual return time. Please help us uphold our no cellphone policy and ensure that your student leaves his or hers at home.

Seniors Camp Tekoa near Hendersonville, NC

All students will need sleeping bags, modest swimsuits, and knock-around clothes (Trinity dress code applies).


Departure Dates and Time
Tuesday, August 22

12th Grade departing for Camp Tekoa at 9:30 a.m. (students should arrive no later than 9:00 a.m.)

Wednesday, August 23
10th Grade departing for Camp Living Water at 7:45 a.m. (students should arrive no later than 7:15 a.m.) Lower and Middle School carpool will begin at 7:45 a.m. and we will make every effort to depart campus ahead of carpool.

11th Grade departing for Camp Albermarle at 9:00 a.m. (students should arrive no later than 8:30 a.m.)

9th Grade departing for Rock Fish Camp at 9:30 a.m. (students should arrive no later than 9:00 a.m.)
