International Students

Trinity admits a limited number of students from international countries for admission to grades 9–12. In addition, Trinity is a proud partner school with New Oasis, a highly regarded organization that interviews and supports talented students in China who desire to attend and graduate from American day schools.

Trinity enrolled its first Chinese ninth graders in fall 2017, with the goal of having about three students from China in each graduating class. The program features home stays with American families that usually are connected to the host school.

“Over the years, our family has hosted many people in our home—for as little as an overnight or weekend to as long as a year or two at a time. We’ve especially developed a love for hosting international students as the cultural exchange element proves interesting and educational. When a Trinity family thought of us as a potential host family for a highschooler from Beijing attending Trinity School, we were open to the opportunity to share space within our home. We were especially excited about the opportunity to invest in a young person over time. We feel like we hit the jackpot when we welcomed Yolanda, who was 15 at the time, into our lives last school year. It’s exciting to watch her learn, grow and mature as she furthers her education. It’s rewarding, too, to help her envision her future after graduation. At home, Yolanda has been a blessing to our family, especially as “a big sister” to our three children. When she returned after the summer this year, it felt like our family was all back together again. Truly, she has folded into our family, traveling with us, celebrating holidays with us and, at the most mudane level, simply “doing life” with us. As much of a blessing it is to a student to open your home, share meals and provide transportation, the far greater blessing is the mutual relationship that develops over the weeks and months and perhaps even years. We highly recommend becoming a host family!”
