Reading and Math Interventionist

Trinity School invites applications for a part-time Reading and Math Interventionist serving students in grades 1 through 6.

This position is an opportunity to do focused, meaningful work, meeting students where they are and providing the targeted instruction that helps them build genuine confidence and competence in foundational academic skills.

The Interventionist works in close partnership with classroom teachers, learning specialists, and school leadership to identify student needs, deliver evidence-based instruction, and monitor growth over time. A primary focus of the role is providing structured, consistent math support for sixth-grade students, alongside flexible reading and math intervention across the lower and middle school grades. The Interventionist delivers both push-in support within the classroom and pull-out instruction in small-group settings, adapting the model to fit the needs of individual students and the rhythms of classroom programming.

This role requires a practitioner who is skilled at designing targeted intervention plans, assessing student progress, and adjusting instruction in real time. Clear and consistent communication with faculty is essential as the Interventionist is a valued member of the instructional team, not a separate service operating at the margins.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. A master's degree or certification in reading, special education, or math intervention is preferred. Candidates should bring experience working with elementary-age students, a strong foundation in literacy development and math instruction, and demonstrated skill in differentiated and evidence-based intervention strategies. Experience with structured literacy approaches and upper elementary math intervention is a particular advantage.

To be considered, qualified candidates should attach a cover letter, resume, and any other supporting documents to their Trinity application.
